Η Γένοβα όπως κάθε χρόνο έτσι και φέτος στάθηκε στο ύψος των περιστάσεων και στήθηκε αξιοπρε- πώς έχοντας να επιδείξει ότι καλύτερο κυκλοφορεί στο υδάτινο στερέωµα. Σηµαντικό κοµµάτι της έκθεσης ήταν οι παράλληλες εκδηλώσεις και η ατµόσφαιρα που δηµιουρ- γήθηκε προκειµένου να προωθήσει τις συνεργασίες και την ανάπτυξη. Κλειδί της καλής οργανωτικής διεξαγω- γής είναι οι συγχρονισµένες προσπάθειες µε στρατηγικό σχεδιασµό και η συνεργασία της Πολιτείας, των φορέων και σύσσωµης της ναυπηγικής κοινότητας. Η µεγάλη ναυτική εκδήλωση της πρώτης παραγωγικής δύναµης στην Ευρώπη στέφθηκε µε επιτυχία, σε µια αγορά φανερά πληγωµένη, απέναντι σε ένα αγοραστικό κοινό µε αρκετές δυνάµεις να ανταποκριθεί αλλά µε συγκρατηµένη διάθε- ση. Ωστόσο είναι πολύ νωρίς για να κάνουµε έναν απολο- γισµό. Τα αριθµητικά δεδοµένα µας οδηγούν σε τιµές που σχετίζονται µε την επισκεψιµότητα, τα σκάφη, τις νέες αφίξεις προς το παρόν. Κατά τη γνώµη µας και πέρα από τη συνηθισµένη κατα- στροφολογία, η εκδήλωση κινήθηκε σε καλούς ρυθµούς, εµφανίστηκε κινητικότητα και χώρες µε θετικά ισοζύγια επισκέφτηκαν τη Γένοβα ώστε να εξετάσουν συµµαχίες και αναπτυξιακά πακέτα.


The Genoa Show has always been the benchmark and barometer of developments and the general economy. Just as always, this year too Genoa rose to the occasion and was properly organised, boasting the best there is in the world of boating. Important aspects of the Show were the parallel events and the general atmosphere built to promote new collaborations and developments. Key to the excellent organisation were the strategically planned and well-tuned efforts along with the cooperation of the State, the local authorities and the entire boatbuilding community. The great nautical event organised by the market leader of the European boatbuilding industry was successful, considering the fact that the market has been severely wounded. Buyers still have enough power to respond to the challenge though somewhat reluctantly nowadays. Nevertheless, it is still too early to do the maths. For the time being, the figures can only give us a hint about the number of visitors, boats and new arrivals. Despite the omnipresent alarmism, we believe that the event was successful overall. There was action and countries with a favourable balance of trade visited Genoa in order to examine the possibilities of alliances and development programmes.
