Financial Centers Role in Offshore Planning
The Chief Executive Officer of The ILS Group, Chris Eaton is based at the company’s headquarters in the Isle of Man. He is responsible for overseeing the Group’s global activities, including implementation of the corporate strategy and vision.
Chris has been involved in structuring client affairs from a tax and corporate governance perspective for more than 20 years. Working initially in London and Gibraltar he moved to the Isle of Man in 1991, where he has been based ever since. As well as in the Isle of Man, Chris has business interests in the UK, the Caribbean, Portugal, Switzerland, Dubai, Hong Kong and China. He assists clients in running their international trading and holding structures and sits on a number of client company boards, both in an executive and non-executive capacity. He is approved in various capacities by the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission, the Isle of Man Investments and Pensions Authority, the UK Financial Services Authority and the British Virgin Islands Financial Supervision Commission. He has lectured on aspects of corporate and trust administration and various structuring issues in the UK, Switzerland, South Africa, Hong Kong, China, the US and South America, and is a regular contributor to Isle of Man Government "Think Tanks" and finance sector review bodies.
