中华股权投资协会是一间创业投资和私募股权投资基金的行业协会组 织，成立于2002年中，目前已有逾一百五十家会员及联席会员公司。 其中大部分是以大中华地区为重点投资市场的创业投资和私募股权投 资基金管理公司，其累积管理的资金规模超过五千亿美元。中华股权 投资协会的会员在全球拥有非常长久和丰富的投资经验，并成功地投 资于大中华地区的诸多领域和企业，其中包括信息技术、商业服务、 传媒文化、生物科技、消费产品以及制造业等。协会会员投资成功的 案例包括：尚德、百度、前程无忧、聚众传媒、阿里巴巴、携程、蒙牛、 中芯国际、展讯通信、国美电器、汇源果汁、新东方教育科技集团、 真功夫快餐、小肥羊、如家、百丽、华奥物种、完美时空等众多优秀 的民族企业。
中华股权投资协会有限公司在香港注册，下设北京代表处。协会的活 动经费来源于会员缴纳的年费。中华股权投资协会真诚邀请在大中华 地区投资的创业投资和私募股权投资基金以及机构投资者的加入，成 为我们这个充满活力的大家庭中的一员。同时，我们也欢迎与创业/私 募投资行业相关的各专业服务公司加盟，成为协会的联席会员。除北 京以外，协会还在上海设有办公室，以促进与当地创业投资界的联络 和沟通。
China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association ("CVCA"), incorporated in the middle of 2002, is a member-based trade organization established to promote the interest and the development of the venture capital ("VC") and private equity ("PE") industry in the Greater China Region. Currently CVCA has more than 150 member firms, which collectively manage over US$500 billion in venture capital and private equity funds. Examples of successful companies backed by CVCA member firms include Suntech, Baidu, 51job, Focus Media,
Alibaba.com,
Ctrip.com, Mengniu Dairy, SMIC, Spreadtrum, Gome, Huiyuan, New Oriental, Kungfu Fast Food, Little Sheep, Home Inns, Belle, Agria, Perfect World and many other fast- growing China enterprises.
CVCA is incorporated in Hong Kong with a representative office in Beijing. Funding for CVCA's activities comes from membership dues. Membership is open to all China-focused VC and PE firms and corporate investors, related professional companies can join as CVCA associate members. CVCA also has a liaison office in Shanghai.
