Anne Semonin deal for Cliveden House spa


T e Pavilion Spa at the Cliveden House hotel in London, UK in August 2011 has announced a deal to use Anne Semonin products in all its treatments. T e spa at the former stately home will


feature a menu of bespoke treatments based on Anne Sémonin’s signature concept of ‘made-to-measure’ beauty. Signature treatments at the spa will


include The Cliveden Supreme Haute Couture Face and Body therapy – a treat- ment that lasts more than two hours and is tailor-made to each person’s skin type.


GLL set to expand Spa-London


Greenwich Leisure (GLL) has revealed that it is planning to expand its Spa-London brand – an aff ordable public sector spa concept – later this year. GLL managing direc-


tor Mark Sesnan told the August 2011 issue of Health Club Management that the fi rst new site was expected to open at the Rainbow Centre in Epsom, Surrey. T e Spa-London brand was

Pendle Leisure Trust to roll-out spa concept?


Pendle Leisure Trust has revealed that the Inside Spa public sector spa concept could be rolled-out further, following its success at Pendle Wavelengths in Nelson. Phil Storey, chief executive of the trust,


told Leisure Management (Issue 3, 2011) that plans to expand the brand into neighbour- ing boroughs are being considered. Satellite treatment rooms in other facili-


ties are also among new proposals following the success of the Pendle Wavelengths spa facility, which was expanded at a cost of £220,000 earlier this year.


Radisson Edwardian to unveil Guildford spa


T e new Radisson Edwardian Guildford has confi rmed that a 490sq m (5,274sq ſt ) spa area is to open its doors to hotel guests and members on 29 September. Operating under the mantra Results,

The Rooms launches at The Albany


A new spa called T e Rooms has been launched at The Albany – a wellbeing centre in London’s Regent Park. T e facility was formerly


known as Lifesmart when it was operated by Carole Caplin (see Health Club Management, March 2010, p40) and cur- rently remains under the ownership of Bill Kenwright, who funded the project. Now called The Albany,


much of the original concept has been maintained, but the off ering has been broadened out to encompass a more diverse range of services – including treatments from T e Rooms. T e Rooms’ fi rst fl agship site was launched


T e facility was called Lifesmart under the operation of Carole Caplin


20 years ago in Hertfordshire by director Heather Dawn. Now supported by a training


school set up 10 years ago, T e Rooms works alongside businesses wanting to set up their own treatment off ering – including Cannons (Nuffi eld) in Letchworth Garden City.
