Ingersoll Rand Names Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion


ngersoll-Rand plc, a world leader in creating and sus- taining afe ofortable and effiient environent announced the appointment of Nereida “Neddy” Perez as vice president, diversity and inclusion. In this newly created role, Perez will be responsible for developing the progressive, diverse and inclusive enterprise strat- egy that includes leadership commitment, employee en- gagement and implementation plans to support global growth and innovation. Perez will also partner with Ingersoll Rand’s global supply chain leaders to develop a supplier diversity pro- gram. She will serve as the company’s diversity repre- sentative, both internally and externally. “Neddy is a highly accomplished HR professional with more than 20 years’ experience advancing corpo- rate ealt and profitability troug uan reoure management and diversity and inclusion initiatives,” said Marcia Avedon, senior vice president, human re- sources and communications for Ingersoll Rand. “She will work closely with our Enterprise Leadership Team to build an Ingersoll Rand culture that is progressive, di- verse and inclusive. This will enable our people globally to develop solutions that truly delight our customers, meet their unique needs and distinguish us from com- petitors.” Perez will report to Avedon and is based in Davidson,

She joins Ingersoll Rand from National Grid, a For- tune 500 gas and electric utility company, where she served as vice president of inclusion and diversity, re- sponsible for developing and leading the company’s di- versity strategy. Perez has also worked with KPMG LLP a ief diverity offier odeo ort eria and Royal Dutch /Shell. Her experience also includes com- munity relations management, human resources and in- ternal/external communications. Perez received a master’s degree in human resourc- es management and international business from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and a bachelor’s de- gree in public relations from the University of Florida.
