CATALINA TO ADD AUTOMATIC DOSING SYSTEMS TO HOT TUB RANGES
Catalina Spas will be claiming a first when they add an automatic dosing system on to their range of hot tubs this year.
Stephen Crabb from Catalina says the new system will be made available on a number of models and more importantly they will be able to
be retro fitted on to existing hot tubs. “It is a first and I think it will be especially important for holiday rentals and lodges with hot tubs. It should make their lives a lot easier.” The development is one of a number of extras and tweaks to the Catalina range.
“We are in a position to add subtle changes to the products to fit the feedback we get from customers. For example our 18ft swim spa was the only one to have a fountain but we’ve now been able to add that facility to the 14ft and 16ft models.”

MARQUIS SPAS MAKES ITS MARQUE
In answer to research that shows that over 80% of consumer hot tub owners do not know the make of their unit, Marquis Spas, available from Golden Coast, has enhanced its range with new improved headrests that incorporate the company brand name, re-enforcing recognition of a Marquis product at a glance.
The company is introducing a new pop-up speaker system in its soon to be released ‘Reward’ unit; this sound system will be released across all units that have audio with pop-up speakers.
The more durable
speakers have a higher sound quality, reliability and design impact than the current speakers, including a built-in LED light when used in combination with a Constellation light upgrade.
These are in addition to the range of new features introduced earlier this year into its 2011 hot tub range, including a large low-level jet to provide excellent lower body massage as well as optimising the seating to incorporate a reclining chair, a deep-seat and even a two- person ‘love’ seat, along with a new internal entry step.
Marquis has restyled its ‘Mirage Signature’ model with a new interior, with a new sculptured lip design that will be introduced across its entire range.
Dependent on the model, up to 60 stainless steel jets massage the lower, middle and upper parts of the body, including the neck and the feet. Each model has a generous ‘organic’ foot well – modelled on an actual riverbed rock formation, which massages the soles of the feet and accommodates longer legs.
