Purac Purac’s stand featured its new natural and bio- based moisturiser PURASAL MOISTXS. The superior bio-based moisturiser ingredient is clinically proven to provide 24-hour skin hydration. A recent clinical study shows that even at low-use concentration, PURASAL MOISTXS product enhances moisturisation up to 24 hours.
Rousselot As a global producer and marketer, Rousselot displayed its Peptan™
Beauty and Peptan™
Cosmetic ranges for the nutricosmetic and cosmetic industry. The company was keen to highlight the benefits of both ranges as well as their ability to improve the health and beauty of the skin. The company gave in depth information on
ranges and showed samples of anti-ageing emulsions made out of Peptan™
Peptan™ SR marine on URAI’s
stand. URAI is a member of LEL network of partners and is the Italian seller of Peptan™
cosmetic range.
There was a focus on two specific grades of collagen – Peptan™ and Peptan™
SR marine (Skin Regeneration)
MR marine (Moisture Retention). The formulations have been tested for the ability to stimulate the synthesis of endogenous collagen through a number of different in-vitro studies.
ROVI Cosmetics International GmbH ROVI Cosmetics launched two exciting new actives targeting skin issues such as hyperpigmentation and impure skin. This includes UniTone™
innovative active complex featuring the INEOCELL® delivery technology. Furthermore, it reduces the skins intracellular and extracellular melanin content and gives a visibly brighter skin tone.
Sachtleben Chemie GmbH The experienced research and development company was on hand to provide advice and assistance on its range of products. Current products from the manufacturer that were shown include UV-TITAN M765 and UV-TITAN M040 which make the galenic processing of the titanium dioxide particles easier to prepare for creams and lotions. The effective mineral UV filters found Sachtleben products conceal tiny lines in the skin and create ideal colour nuances.
Sederma Visitors were able to discover how Sederma develops natural molecules for the cosmetic industry and uses plant cell culture that exploits the power of synthesis from vegetal stem cells. This technology has numerous benefits such as sustainability, uses no pesticides or preservatives
and does not rely on the seasonality of crops. The company has also recently acquired a bench wave system bioreactor of 600L which is the first to be commercialised in Europe.
Sharon Laboratories Ltd Visitors to the Sharon Laboratories Ltd stand were able to discover how the company provides the best preservative system to suit an array of products. The company boasts state-of-the-art microbiological and analytical technologies and environmentally friendly production facilities. Formulations from the company include Sharomix 705 PLUS and Sharomix 706 PLUS which have great Vitamin E benefits and the Sharomix SZ series which combines anti-bacteria preservative with organic acids. Visitors were able to find out more about these from the company’s experts who were on hand at the show.
Sisterna BV Based on sucrose and vegetable fatty acids, Sisterna BV sucrose esters are extremely mild and moisturising emulsifiers suitable for use in certified natural cosmetics. A wide range of products means sucrose esters can be applied to any kind of cosmetic application. At this year’s show Sisterna BV introduced many formulation concepts that can be used to make oil gels that turn into milk when diluted with water, provide an excellent touch in sprays and lotions and help decrease blooming and sweating in lipsticks. The foaming and conditioning properties are also ideal for mild cleansing formulations such as baby cleansing foam or natural shower gel.

Skyherb displayed its range of purified herbal ingredients such as the newly launched Skyapphenols®
, which is an
a novel ingredient and a natural polyphenols product series containing over 98% phloretin. Phloretin is particularly good at getting through the skin barrier and studies suggest the presence of it may assist the uptake of other active components into the skin.
Symrise AG In response to the growing demand for natural ingredients Symrise AG focused on new natural extracts of echinacea, quinoa, pumpkin and many other plants at this year’s show. The company featured botanical ingredients along with other new products from its R&D work such as SymFinity™ Extrapone®
1298, Actipone® Healthy Grains.

Sytheon displayed its newly launched Synovea® DOI, a cost-effective solution in solving skin hydration and barrier function problems. Water and barrier homeostasis of the epidermis is essential for the normal function of the skin and to maintain proper water balance of the body. It deals with a new formulation based on a blend of specific ingredients which have great fizzing effects and beauty benefits.
The International Group The International Group were on hand to show visitors its newly launched ingredient Sebapet, a natural vegetable petrolatum replacement. The product is a unique blend of vegetable oils which mimic the fatty acid and esters found in natural skin sebum. The ingredient can be used in creams, lotions, lip care products and body washes for natural products that require the petrolatum properties.
