EOQHA is very excited to partner with AQHA and OQHA in hosting the only Canadian Pilot All Novice/Rookie Show to be held on Wednesday July 27th, at the Carp Fairgrounds, in Carp Ontario.

Skills Development Tuition Scholarship June 1, 2011


Toronto, ON – The Ontario Quarter Horse Racing Industry Development Program (QHRIDP) is pleased to announce its Skills Development Tuition Scholarship.


• Performance Horse Handler Certificate, Ridgetown Campus • Equine Programs, Kemptville College


This scholarship program provides an opportunity for sub- sidized skills training and upgrading to individuals enrolled in equine-related academic pro- grams or other programs that advance and improve the horse racing industry in Ontario. Eligi- ble to apply, are full-time and part-time students who are Ontario residents, 18 years of age or older, enrolled in equine- related academic programs or programs that develop skills that can be applied to benefit the equine industry.


Applicants can receive sup- port for multiple programs up to a maximum of $2,500 per year. Education programs that will be considered for the Skills Devel- opment Tuition Scholarship include:


• Exercise Rider/Jockey Training Program, Olds College


• Certificate and diploma pro- grams offered by Equine Guelph • Diploma or degree programs with equine specialty


Other programs offered at Ontario colleges, universities or recognized academic institutions that are equine-related or devel- op skills that can be applied to benefit the equine industry (i.e. Journalism)

EOQHA Bottle Draw


EOQHA will be holding a fundraising bot- tle draw at the Summer Sizzler again this year. We are looking for anything that comes in a bot- tle; horse product, beverage, shampoo, etc. If it is something that can be used or consumed by horse or human would we appreciate your dona- tion.
