AQHA Pilot Rookie Show – ONLY ONE IN CANADA!!!

AQHA, OQHA and EOQHA are exited to be hosting the only Canadian AQHA Pilot All Novice/Rookie show to be held on Wednesday July 27th, at the Carp Fairgrounds, Carp Ontario.

WHAT IS THE ROOKIE SHOW ALL ABOUT? This AQHA Pilot Rookie show is a new initiative from AQHA to reach out to our grass roots population and encourage a level competition to the novice exhibitors. This AQHA Pilot Rookie show is intended to introduce AQHA to individuals who haven’t necessarily shown at AQHA sanctioned shows before or for those who have, but wish to try a new discipline. Rookie class- es are open to all exhibitors who haven’t earned more than 10 AQHA lifetime points in that corresponding class. Rookie classes are offered in Youth, Amateur and Open divisions. This is also a great opportunity for coaches and trainers who may not show often or wish to come out and try a new discipline.

opportunity for current AQHA exhibitors to bring out your friends or family members who have expressed an interest in showing, and get them involved!

FUN ATMOSPHERE AND PRIZES!

If you currently own a Registered Quarter Horse and current- ly show at the open/club show level and have an interest in seeing what the AQHA shows are like, this is the show for you. You will compete against others with similar experience in a fun and relax- ing atmosphere.

Exhibitors new to AQHA do not require an AQHA member- ship to show in the Rookie classes and will receive a free 90 day trial membership. If you decide you enjoy showing, you can come back for the AQHA show being held on July 29-31st without hav- ing to purchase an AQHA membership!

Exhibitors wishing to show in the Rookie classes do not need to own or lease an American Quarter Horse. Rookie exhibitors can show anybody’s Registered Quarter Horse. This is an excellent

exhibitors. There will be lots of prizes and giveaways for our exhibitors. This show is considered a “NO BLING” show, so the amount of sequins on your outfit or silver on your saddle will not get you extra points from the judges. Exhibitors are encouraged to ask the judges questions after their class on how they performed. A number of clinics are being offered throughout the show, so an excellent opportunity to learn from Ontario professionals. An exhibitors meeting will be held at 7am and noon day of show for anyone wishing to ask questions. A mentorship program is also being offered to all our Rookie and Novice exhibitors. If you need help with grooming, banding, registration, or just to calm those horse show jitters, we will be there to help!

LOW COST!

In order to make this financially feasible for our new exhibitors, there will be flat $60 Rookie day fee that will allow you to show in as many Rookie classes as you so chose, or if you wish to show in only a few classes, there is a class fee of $12. For more information, please contact Shawna Crawford at 613-913-7262 or check on www.eoqha.com or www.oqha.on.ca for the show bill and additional info.

This show is intended to be a relaxing and fun day for our
