AquaFinesse products work by loosening the bio film from their substrate
form of Aquablanc, which
is a range of non-chlorine (non- halogen) products, suitable for consumers with sensitivities to chlorine/bromine or those preferring a gentle, odour free bathing environment. The systems are available for pool and hot tub users. Aquablanc offers a non-chlorine active O2 starter kit, providing users with a non-halogen alternative (i.e. no chlorine or bromine), for effective sanitisation of hot tub/spa water. Aquablanc is an active treatment for swimming pools and hot tubs/spas and provides pure, gentle and safe water, without the attendant smells associated with chlorine.
WATER FINESSE
A treatment that has become well known in the UK is AquaFinesse, which does not claim to cut the use of traditional sanitisers completely but significantly reduces the amount used. Tested by the KEMA Institute in the Netherlands, the product’s manufacturer, Special Water Europe are experts in the field of environmentally friendly water treatment. Special Waters’
product line, AquaFinesse for wellness is based on a completely different water care for hot tubs and pools. The company state that the technology of AquaFinesse has been proven as a revolutionary one that is ahead of its time and consistently demonstrates outstanding results.
In AquaFinesse the Special Waters team has succeeded in addressing the real cause of bacterial pollution. The team developed a range of products to mitigate the so called bio film in an environmentally friendly way, which until now was only achievable by using harsh chemicals, with their well documented disadvantages such as toxic action to the environment and corrosion causing properties. AquaFinesse products are not biocides and do not contain complicated organic compounds. They work simply by loosening the bio film (slimy layers) from their substrate, to keep the pool and hot tub clean. AquaFinesse products are to be used with a residual level of traditional sanitiser according to guidelines.

PoolSan is a water treatment that works on the copper silver principle but also contains gold, aluminium and zinc which is produced in manufacturing and contained in the liquid. PoolSan is introduced into the pool using an automatic dosing system so that the level is adjusted automatically depending on bather load. PoolSan, a chlorine replacement used by leading hotels and health clubs in their pools and spas, is an easily dosed chlorine free liquid biocide that is less hazardous and more sustainable than chlorine.
