PLUNGE INTO THE MUSIC, LISTEN TO THE WATER!

Is there a market for listening to music while you are underwater? Is it possible?

Thanks to underwater sound systems, music can be felt by the whole human body, by every single bone – the specialists call this bone conductivity. Certain gentle vibrations created by music can’t be felt by the human body in usual conditions. Water changes this. Why do we need an underwater sound system?

If correctly used, underwater speakers allow for the possibility of aqua aerobics. This is a great

solution for music therapy, as the music provides an enhanced and unforgettable experience.

Underwater music can also give a real bond and great communication between a mother and her unborn child. The music in the water creates the same feelings for the mother as for her child.

How is it done?

The speed of sound in water is about 1,500 metres per second, compared with 314 m/s in air. Therefore the design and installation have to be carried out by real professionals in architecture

and building as well as in underwater acoustics.

Aqson provides underwater sound systems in swimming pools, right from the initial assessment of the customer’s needs, through professional project management, to the final installation of the best and safest devices available on the market.

GOLDEN COAST WINS DISTRIBUTOR AWARD FOR EIGHTH YEAR RUNNING

Golden Coast has won Marquis Spas’ International Distributor of the Year award for top international sales for the eighth year running.

The Barnstaple-based business was one of only three companies outside the manufacturer’s home market in the United States to win awards; Het Buitenhuis of Appels- Dendermonde in Belgium won ‘Best’ International Dealer, while Neptune Spas and Pools APS of Ballerup in Denmark won the award for top marketing and promotions. The annual award is open to over 250 principal dealers representing Marquis Spas around the world and takes into account the number of spas ordered and the service performance provided to customers. “This award recognises the investment we have made as a company in promoting and supporting the Marquis range over eight years since we became the exclusive UK distributor,” said Jamie Adams, Managing Director of Golden Coast.

“It also recognises the part our sales team plays in working with our nationwide dealers. Our dealers have embraced our philosophy that providing professional service, from the initial enquiry to full after sales support, makes all the difference.” “Today we have a good number of loyal and committed dealers around the UK, each dedicated to ensuring that their customers benefit from the quality and reputation of the Marquis Spas products throughout the range. This award is as much about their achievement as ours,” he added.

LONDON SWIMMING POOL COMPANY JOINS LONDON TO BRIGHTON BIKE RIDE

It has become a tradition that the London Swimming Pool Company take part in a physical challenge and/or community event each year to support charities such as Cancer Research UK or BBC Children in Need. This year, the British Heart Foundation turns 50 and inspired by several of its staff who have become keen cyclists a team of 15 from London Swimming Pool Company will be getting on their bikes to pedal from the capital to Brighton on Sunday 19 June in aid of the charity’s vital work. The BHF have funded some of the greatest
