NO WAITING AT NISSAN Pothole power to the people

the huge budget cuts, road safety and breakdown organisation GEM Motoring Assist is concerned about the safety of road users as we move into ‘pothole season’, and offers drivers these tips on how to take extra care: Keep your distance from the car in front as motorists will often break suddenly if they have spotted a pothole too late. Drive slower than normal on smaller roads and residential streets where potholes may be prevalent. Hitting a pothole at speed will cause more damage to your vehicle. Never swerve to avoid a pothole; Make sure that you slow down or stop completely, checking that there are no cars close behind you, then drive over it slowly or manoeuvre around it only when it is safe to do so. Report any dangerous potholes to your local authority.
