ue to the short flowering period of the crocus it has been quite difficult to get
groups of Rotarians to the various sites where croci had been planted. As a result we have great photos of Wennington (taken by Pat and Jim) without any people and it was the same story for Syd and George H of Havering East when they went to Lodge Farm Park in Romford.
owever, I was more fortunate at Engayne Primary School because I had
eager pupils (members of the school orchestra who had just finished a rehearsal) who were only too willing to pose with the croci.
have to say that ,although the flowers at the park and the school were there , they
were a bit 'puny'. I hope that with a year's rest the corms will multiply and put on a better display in a year's time.
