L
ike the Rotarians, the Inner Wheel ladies were blessed
with a window of opportunity during the bad weather and their Christmas Dinner went ahead as planned, at the Upminster Golf Club.
A
fter an excellent meal, President Janet expressed her
thanks to all the members and guests present for attending the dinner (especially as the weather had been so awful) and went on to thank the Rotary Club of Hornchurch and Upminster for their continued support of the In- ner Wheel Club of Havering. Special thanks were given to all those Rotarians and Rotarian‘s wives who gave up their time to help with the Christmas collection at Harold Hill. Jim Haines was singled out for his 'service above self'' as he
battled with a major problem at home (No not
Pat) and also managed to get the sleigh up to the Hill and take it away at the end of the day.
dinner at the Golf Club, I can recommend it. The food is always good, the fellowship is also good and this Christmas dinner was no exception.
