Laptop Presentation 24th February 2011

t our lunch meeting on Thursday 24th. February it was great to be able to meet


Rotary in Action


and greet two recipients of Rotary generosity. Members will know of the appeal by Sylvia and Ray Needham for a computer or a laptop to aid two brothers who are visually impaired. When this was brought to club Jim Haines said he would be able to do something and true to his word he soon came up with a laptop, specially adapted to help the brothers. We wanted to get the computer to the boys as soon as possible so it could be put to good use and thus this presentation was quickly arranged. Mikey and Rudy Defreitas were accompanied by their grandparents Bob and Doreen Watson and Past President Brian Taffs duly presented the boys with the laptop. They were extremely excited and pleased with their gift and even said a few words of thanks. They also presented Brian with a thank you letter each of them had written on the right and below.
