Alhouette Atelier Areti
Citrus Vibia
The Citrus pendant, designed by Oscar & Sergi Devesa, is provocative in both form and substance. Its elegant design evokes the natural geometry of seg- mented citrus.
The spherical pendant is frost white polyethylene with a concave bottom diffuser. The form of the diffuser adds to the allure, ingeniously obscuring the energy efficient source while evenly distributing the light. Encasing it is a series of gloss lacquered aluminium ribbons allowing slivers of light to shine through.

Calmares Tom Strala
Zürich light designer Tom Strala’s latest piece, Calmares, is available in two different sizes. His design comprises several dozen energy-saving fluorescent tubes, each of which consumes just 24 watts of energy. Calmares I uses 73 bulbs to form a semispherical cluster of light, whereas Calmares II uses 13. The central support is composed of white aluminium tubes mounted on a spheri- cal base.

Mayuhana Toyo Ito / Yamagiwa
Yamagiwa has supported Toyo Ito for his architectural lighting projects for many years yet the Mayuhana is the very first collabora- tion for the product design development. MAYUHANA series was created by reeling string around a mold in the same way thread is spun for a cocoon. The softness of the light, reminiscent of a traditional Japanese portable paper lantern (Bonbori), is enhanced by the light coming through the double and triple shelters, and brings to mind the im- age of light depicted in the famous novel Junichiro Tanizaki’s ‘In Praise of Shadows’.

Rombilus Paviom
The new Rombilus pendant from ar- chitectural lighting company Paviom is highly visual with a strong environmen- tal focus. A breathtaking glass object - specular lenses of the pendant reflect and refract light - Rombilus is the latest piece of light art from commissioned designer Jonathan Coles that, including the lamp itself, is 95% recyclable.

Ahouette hides sources in the cone-shaped tails of a series of metal birds, either perched on a horizontal pipe or clamped to a vertical pole. A joint allows each bird to move and rotate in various directions. The lamp is made of powder coated metal and brass. The halogen bulbs placed inside each tail cone can be dimmed and offers excel- lent colour rendering.
