LÜDENSCHEID, GERMANY LichtRouten 2010 temporarily transformed public space in Lüdenscheid by inserting around twenty installations based on light as material or media. As an international forum of light in art and design LichtRouten works as on open space to reflect on and to discuss the present at the crosscut of nature and art, human perception and philosophy, technology and mythology. Invited by the curators Bettina Pelz and Tom Groll, international artists and designers work on subjects like “Black Boxes” (2002), “Forgotten Spaces” (2003), “Parking Sceneries” (2005), “Architecture of Memento” (2006) or “Wunderkammers of Light” (2010). www.lichtrouten.de

UPPSALA, SWEDEN

One of the key sites of the lighting event at Uppsala was the old mill in the city centre and the water surrounding it. Sound, light and video company Kreativ Teknik of Uppsala took it upon themselves to create and transform the area into a dynamic coloured adventure with music and sound effects. Trees, water, facade, grass and a small waterfall were lit by LED lighting and Martin Exterior 200s, Exterior 600s and Exterior 1200 Image

Projectors. The 150W Exterior 200s were mounted inside the mill, illuminating the passing water, with the 575W Exterior 600s lighting up the waterfall and surrounding

water. The 1200W Exterior 1200s were used to wash the facade, as well as to project flower gobos and create a burning fire at the end of the autumn portion. www.martin.com
