B A T U S 2 0 1 0 Entering the European Union with Pet Animals

Have your pet microchipped 2. Have your pet vaccinated against rabies 3. Obtain the Veterinary Certificate from an authorized veterinarian.


4. Contact your local Canadian Food Inspection Agency Office to gain a Certificate for Non-Commercial Movements of Pet Dogs, Cats and Ferrets. This needs to be done in the language of the country you will first arrive in within the EU.


5. Arrange for your pet to travel on an approved route. 6. Obtain an approved travel crate


7. Have documentation reviewed and travel crate approved by your chosen carrier. NB. Puppies and kittens are not exempt There will be charges for much of this to be done
