Health Care Services for Civilian Dependants, MOD employees, civil servants and some contractors.


With the closure of the Ralston Clinic, dependants may now choose to register as patients of the British doctors at the base Medical Centre at CFB Suffield. Those who live in Medicine Hat may prefer to stay with a local Canadian Practice, and although you are welcome to register at the Base, you should not be registered with both.


Please note that home visits cannot be made. Patients will be expected to attend the surgery.


Service Personnel. Sick Parade 0730 – 0900hrs


Appointments 0900 – 1200hrs Mon – Fri


1300 – 1545hrs Medicals Weekends: Sick Parade 0800 – 0900hrs


Civilians registered at the Base Medical Centre. Phone for appointment after 0930hrs Mon – Fri 403 544 5240


Clinic 1300 – 1545hrs Mon – Fri


Urgent cases may be asked to come down at other times by the doctor. Weekends: Phone Duty Medic during sick parade 0800 – 0900hrs 403 952 2451 (The duty doctor or nurse will return your call and arrange care as needed)


Out of Hours (for all patients registered at the Base Medical Centre). Telephone the Duty Medic on 403 952 2451 The Duty doctor will contact you and give you advice to arrange to see you as deemed necessary.


Patients NOT registered at The Base Medical Centre. Access your doctor’s surgery according to the protocols of the practice concerned.


Out of Hours/weekends/holidays: access to help and advice is obtained from the sources listed under ‘Other treatment options’, below.
