BEHIND THE M&#xE0AB;SK with

Jeff Sarwer is a poker player / Real Estate Investor living in Gdansk, Poland. He is 32 years old and single.

During EPT season 6 Jeff fi nished 10th in

EPT Warsaw followed two weeks later by

fi nishing 3rd at EPT Vilamoura. He also came runner-up in the EPT Berlin 10k event. He has six EPT cashes and over $500,000 in

tournament winnings. In May 2010 he was nominated for EPT Achievement of the

Year and EPT Players Choice Award at the Monte-Carlo season fi nale. Jeff was also a former World Chess Champion for boys under 10.

Length of time playing?

I started being an active poker player on the EPT circuit in August 2009 and had played a bit in the six months before.

What would you do in another life? Hmmm...an Olympic athlete, doctor, or diplomat.

Are you lucky or unlucky on a scale of 0 to 10 (0 = unlucky)?

Only one way to answer, clearly 10. Have to stay thinking positive you know!

What do you do for fun?

I swim 15km a week, watch lots of movies, write, cook for friends at my house and host travellers from around the world through couchsurfi ng.org. (When I am not travelling myself of course.)

The poker fairy will grant you one wish: What would it be?

I think that's easy, win the WSOP main event....wait, I have a better one that is more satisfying long term, never ever get rivered again when I get my chips in good!

You have just won a &#xE065;1 million. What will you do next day?

Party with friends, then divide up the money into different investments and give away a small portion too.

What is your biggest fear? Being around

underconfi dent people. After all, in the end, they are the dangerous ones.

How much money is enough?

Ultimately $0 since it can&#x2018;t compare to health and in the western world it's hard to starve.

There are many stages

after that though but each stage wouldn't affect my outlook that much.

Where do you see yourself in fi ve years time?

Hopefully working on interesting creative projects like making

fi lms and maybe having a little family.

Also having a lot more crazy travel and poker experiences.

What was your best buy and how much was it? Building a Finnish sauna ($3,000) on my roof. It really completes my whole place.

What is your biggest extravagance? Easy one, eating in nice restaurants and travelling to exotic places.

Name one thing you would like to change about yourself.

Being able to wake up early in the morning without feeling like trash for the rest of the day while keeping the same late night socializing schedule.

I am very bad at &#x2026;

Remembering details that don't interest me much but sometimes should, being patient with people who have an indifferent or lousy attitude and, of course, making early morning fl ights.

But I am good at&#x2026;

Not taking things too badly even when it would be easy to feel crushed, a lot of things that involve problem solving/analysis, and making people feel comfortable around me.

In moments of weakness I&#x2026; Go to my room and wait until I have a better attitude before I do anything important.

Can you see yourself quitting poker..?

And if you did what would you do? I will always be doing many different things, so poker will most likely be part of my range of activities for a long time to come.

What would you like written on your grave stone? He tried.

Anything else? I am fi nishing up writing a script with director Gordon Anderson, and hope to get it in production in 2011 and in the public by 2012.
