The event was held at the G Casino, Coventry and had a prize-pool of £150,000. Invitations to the
tournament were sent only to those who had won GUKPT or Summer Series Main or side events, online 10% Series tournaments, Club Championships or who had topped the National Poker League, with the number of starting chips varying depending on which event (or events) were won. Starting with the minimum 7,500 was no
setback to many as James Miller’s third place fi nish for £19,500 proved. Fifteen places in all were paid, with the minimum payout being £2,250.

The following hand Debbie Masson was out-raced by Alli Mallu and suddenly short-handed play was upon the remaining Champions.
From four players to one, the action was unrelenting, the chip lead being won and lost in a matter of hands.
Alli Mallu, were as close as could be, leading to an unpredictable fi nal stretch. A timely pair of Aces for Mallu saw off Michael Fisher in 7th place.

APAT EUROPEAN AMATEUR POKER CHAMPIONSHIPS
At the end of November APAT held the latest event in its fourth season, sponsored by Betfair, with the European Amateur Poker Championships. It took place at the G Casino, Coventry with 150 runners playing to win part of a £11,250 prize pool. Brian Martin was the victor winning £3,000 and a GUKPT Main Event seat while Darren Shallis was runner- up for £1,700.
In the £250 PLO Professional series event, Dominic Rossokh was the winner and the Seasons Professional League Rankings were won by Stephen Boyd. APAT now moves to the fi nal
National Championship of Season Four with the Southern European Amateur Poker Championships held in Spain in mid January.
