attracted an international fi eld to its regular events due to its location close to Switzerland, Germany and Italy. This year’s round two of
the CAPT will be no exception. In fact the fi elds may well be increased by an infl ux of Swiss players, starved of action in their own country by the government’s closure of all the private clubs last year. Twelve months ago the

closer to 400,000.
Last year the Austrians kept the main event prize on home soil with a 87,000 win for Daniel Lackner with Switzerland’s Besim Hot in runner up spot for 62,000. For those seeking a cheap way into the main
event a 200 super satellite will be staged on the Wednesday of the tournament week. The 2,000 NLH will be held over the Saturday and Sunday with a 200 rebuy pot limit Omaha competition on the Friday. In total there will be six competitions, one more than last year. The full programme is listed on the opposite page. Outside of the poker room there is plenty to
occupy visitors in the resort which is on the shores of Bodensee, also known as Lake Constance. The town has many bars and restaurants and there are several nightspots in the area. There are good skiing areas about 45 minutes away which can be reached by train. Players can tie up seats for a 10 per cent deposit and also book hotel accommodation through the CAPT offi cial web site at

ZWEITER STOPP – CASINO BREGENZ, 20. BIS 27. FEBRUAR

countries is an easy trip. Many airlines fl y into Zurich and there is a railway station at the airport. Trains run direct to Bregenz about once every hour and the station at the town is right next to the casino and hotel. The train transfer takes around 90 minutes.
