In previous years achievements at the WSOP have infl uenced the members of the
the best tournament performance award as there were ties in the votes from the nomination panel. Liv Boeree is even the fi rst woman player to be nominated in this category and is also up for the Europe’s Leading Lady award. One surprise nomination in the Internet Player of the Year is the anonymous “Ilsidur1” who has recently joined the team of Poker Stars sponsored players. His real identity is likely to be revealed by the time the fi nal judging and presentations take place at the ACF in Paris on February 13th.
The annual awards are made possible by the sponsorship of ACF Poker which pays for travel, hotels and the presentation dinner for all those nominated and the eight person judging panel.

Der Erfolg der britischen Spieler in der Turnierszene im letzten Jahr spiegelt sich direkt in der Anzahl von Nominierungen für
die European Poker Awards 2010 wider. In den vergangenen Jahren hatten sich die Mitglieder im Nominierungsausschuss von den Erfolgen bei der WSOP beeinfl ussen lassen, aber in diesem Jahr standen bei der Stimmvergabe Leistungen im Vordergrund, die auf unserer Seite des großen Teichs erzielt wurden. Die meisten Spieler, die in den Kategorien Rookie des Jahres und beste Turnierleistung nominiert sind, können auf Siege bei der EPT und der europäischen Version der World Series verweisen.

sich sechs Spieler, da es bei der Abstimmung im Nominierungsausschuss zu Stimmengleichheit kam. Mit Liv Boeree ist in dieser Kategorie sogar zum ersten Mal eine Dame nominiert. Gleichzeitig hat Boeree gute Aussichten auf den Award für Europas Leading Lady.
Eine Überraschungsnominierung in der Kategorie Internetspieler des Jahres ist der anonyme Spieler mit dem Pseudonym „Ilsidur1“, der kürzlich zum Team der von PokerStars gesponserten Spieler gestoßen ist. Seine wahre Identität wird zum Zeitpunkt der Entscheidung und Award-Vergabe am 13. Februar im ACF in Paris voraussichtlich gelüftet sein.
