Kix Mag: Introduce yourself to Kix Magazine, In 3 words… PS: Prodigal Sunn, Sunz of Man and WTZ Noah: Calm, Cool and Collective Shyheim: Funny, Silly and Outgoing
Kix: Tell us, about your relationship, how did the track ‘Immortal’ come about… Noah: The track ‘Immortal’ came about 7 Years Ago, 2003 in Manhattan, New York (36 Chambers East), I was record- ing the song ‘Immortal’ at the time and Prodigal Sunn was on the other side of the studio conducting business as usual, and socialising with fans, one of the engineers for Wu-tang was working on the track with me, he showed Prodigal Sunn and explained there is
something new and unique about the track ‘Immortal’ and would he like to be on it. Then Prodigal Sunn came into the studio heard the acoustic gui- tar and my vocals on the track, and was interested in being on the track, Shyheim was in town at the time of the track, so Prodigal Sunn gave him a call and said come down to the studio, and that’s how the track came together, with all three members putting there unique styles and view points on the track in a new and innovative structure.
My experience in building the track with Prodigal Sunn & Shyheim, was totally different, played the acoustic guitar and vocals to the guys, and turned the track into a movie, what you see today. Coming from the UK, and in Wales and London and knowing
there is a scene here and experiencing it as a fan, its an experience in seeing it for REAL, you could never imagine it, having the legendary Prodigal Sunn & Shyheim Wu-tang Mem- bers working with me”.
Kix: Give us an insight about the track, your thoughts and feel- ings on the final track and it’s video concept Noah: The concept came about in-house, inspiration through my Life & Spirituality (with his wife’s assistance),
“if you wish to create something new and interesting the con- cept has to come from you” Noah mentions. As he is a Spiritual character, the concept is the Last Supper came to life through the video of ‘Immortal’ the ideas of colour came from Micheal Angelo, and the massive inspiration from Di Vinci. “The idea behind the video is we are all nice guys, one guy having a meal with his friends as one”.
