Rian Peters R
ian Peters is set to have the year of his life in 2011, as he gears up to support JLS on their UK Arena Tour from November 29th till December 23rd, it looks like the boys will have some competition on their hands from the youngster, but it’s all friendly as they are one of his biggest supporters. This is the result of a lifetime dream for 23 year old Rian who caught the entertainment bug at the tender age of three and he has honed his skills as a singer/songwriter, percussionist and accomplished professional dancer encompassing street and tap, “I even did ballet!” , he confessed, phew he has been busy! But it is all paying off as his talents are set to reach a wider audience and give him the exposure he deserves, with the tour and major support from radio stations including BBC 1Xtra, Kiss FM and Choice FM. Paying his dues he has provided vocals for the likes of Leona Lewis, Estelle and Lauryn Hill, so is not short of experience, all culminating in his first release

‘Getaway’ with the Godfather of Grime, Wiley at the
beginning of the year. His follow up track, ‘Stereotypes’ was released as a free download on October 25th and his debut album, Start Something will follow in the new year. Three years in the making, his album has had input from hit maker Wayne Hector (responsible for over 30 worldwide number ones), which resulted in a sound Rian describes as ‘industrial nu-wave pop’, sounds interesting! “I’m a songwriter so I have control over what I write and I want to say something different, something that has a meaning”.
All we can say is this boy is one to watch for 2011! And make sure you download ‘Stereotypes’.
