Kix Mag: Let’s talk fashion. You seem like you keep your wardrobe stylishly stocked, and have no problem mixing and matching, thus, putting something together that’s classy and elegant. Has this always been the case, and who are your top 2 designers? Got any fashion tips for your fans? Jaya: Thank you. I’ve always loved fashion, even as a girl. I’m lucky enough to be collaborating with some great stylists who understand what I like and what I don’t like, so I always get what I would want to wear. As for my 2 favorite
designers.. I love Dolce & Gabana and my 2nd designer I would probably say Christian Loubouton I think every girl loves shoes. Fashion tips for my fans, well, I would just say always be yourself, and always incorporate trends into the things that you like.
Kix: What have been the personal highlights of your career in 2010? Jaya: 2010 has been a crazy year for me. I had a great start and have been really really busy. Been touring with NDubz and Peter Andre. I performed at the Asian Music Awards, which was a really big deal for me, then I kinda went quiet for a while and stayed busy working behind the scenes. Now I’m back with a hot track with none other than JoJo
Simmons. Its been really nice seeing all the support I’ve got. Everybody’s been working so hard together. I’m just enjoying making history. It’s going to be a good feeling looking back in 5 years time at what I’ve achieved, so yeah, its been a crazy year.
Kix: What’s an interview question you’ve wished you could be asked, but never have been? Jaya: People never really ask me about my writing. That’s something I wish people would ask me a little bit more about, because I write all of my own music.
