Omega Signs goes from strength to strength providing signs for UK’s top brands


Set up in 1991 by Mike Chapman and Tony Timmermans, Omega Signs has established itself as a key player in the signage market. It is now run by Mike’s son Duncan Chapman and, whilst it has always been based in Leeds, now operates from an impressive purpose built building just off the M1.

The company has an enviable client base with considerable expertise in a wide range of sectors with accounts such as the retail and brewery trade from Asda, Waitrose, and M&S to Greene King, Punch Taverns and Mitchell and Butler. However its expertise is not exclusively in this sector and it also has accounts in other sectors such as HSBC, Mercedes Benz and BAA. The client base is largely blue chip and Omega prides itself on building good, long term relationships with customers. Duncan Chapman said “With a workforce of 81, we have a strong team of people who have the knowledge and skills to handle all aspects of a project. Innovation, design, manufacture and installation are a given but we go one step further by introducing added value. This ensures that our customers receive a solution that is totally unique to them. This level of attention to detail, innovation and added value are why our customers remain loyal year after year.’’ Despite the tough economic climate


Omega has continued to invest in the business with a new 10,000 square foot extension. This has enabled the company to incorporate advanced warehouse and finished goods storage and also house a new metal working facility. Duncan Chapman said “It has been a


tough time over the last few years and everyone has had to look at how best to manage their business in the new climate. We have been lucky in that we have many customers who we have operated with for several years and retaining contracts is a real sign that we are able to deliver what we promise.
