It’s a wrap – England 2018 Supplier Icon brands City Hall
Football fans across England have got their fingers crossed that England will win its bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup. FIFA’s Executive Committee is due to announce in December 2010, which country or countries will be hosts of the prestigious competition and the focus of worldwide media coverage. A winning bid for England would mean lots of events and many new signage projects. Icon, a leading event branding specialist, was appointed as an Official Supplier to the England 2018 World Cup Bid team. The company supplied city and venue brand dressing for FIFA’s inspection visit in August and ongoing branding services in the months leading up to FIFA making its final decision in December.

have been on hand to offer support to the bid team with other branding requirements such as the ‘dressing’ of Nelson’s Column in which Icon played a key role and a ‘wrap’ that Icon created for London’s City Hall. The wrap, a 200 sq m display emblazoned across the
windows of City Hall, is part of a nationwide city and venue dressing exercise implemented by Icon in support of England 2018. John Francis, MD of Icon added: “We are
