COMPANY Profile .....continued from page 58

Simplex employs highly skilled letter makers who have produced built up letters up to 20 feet in height as well as very complicated letters and logos lit by LEDs to give brilliant effects. With the increased use of LEDs, Simplex has managed

to incorporate this energy saving form of lighting into many applications to enhance traditional-style signs, thus replacing the bulky and inefficient fluorescent tubes used hitherto. Simplex has gained a lot of expertise in ACMs such as

Dibond, an inherently stiff material with the advantage of being relatively lightweight. Simplex can roll this material using three metre rollers and has also developed a method of producing trays and similar products without the unsightly edge of the substrate showing, a common criticism of this type of material. Butler finish has become very popular in place of brushed stainless steel, which is heavy, expensive and can show stains when used in some coastal areas. So, whatever a sign maker’s requirements, be it

bespoke metalwork, modular signage, fingerposts, directories, large or small, or even what seems an insurmountable problem, Simplex is sure it can help.
