fundraising evening on
13th of November at Sydney Street W.M.C. in aid of
Holly House
Child Development Centre based on Blackburn Road, Accrington.
In May our son, Finley, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 11 months old. He is still unable to sit up unaided or walk or talk as the C.P. affects his left side. However he has the biggest smile. Finley regularly attends Holly House for the majority of his treatment, physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy, respite and other groups. The staff have been fantastic and have become more like family to us and also welcome his twin sister Ellie, elder brother Mackenzie 10 and Paige 14. Holly House do such great work with disabled children that we just wanted to give something back that may help give the children a Christmas party and help towards new equipment for the centre. We are looking for donations that we could use in a raffle for the evening and any help would be greatly appreciated. We have a few prizes up to now including a signed Blackburn Rovers shirt given by Finley's cousin Rieli 5, who is in remission after suffering from lukaemia and has kindly donated his top to help Finley's friends.

Local volunteers in Accrington; Maureen Aspin and Barbara Halstead, have once again organised a Ladies Night of
Fashion & Make Up in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The evening, which will take place on November 10th, will be held at Sparth House Hotel in Clayton Le Moors.
Now in its third year, this popular fundraising event will feature
a fashion show hosted by Debenhams, which will be followed by a presentation and make up demonstrations by Estee Lauder, which Ladies will then have chance to purchase. Christmas cards and gifts will also be on sale.
Tickets are priced at £5 per person, and are on sale at Westend Post Office and Sparth House.
Each ticket includes light refreshments and raffle entry.
