We used a variegated yarn but the stitch texture will look even sharper in a solid colour.
When you make a right cross-over, you miss two sts and tr in the third, then ch1, then yrh, take the hook behind the prev tr st and through the gap made by missing two sts, then from front to back, insert the hook in the fi rst missed st, and fi nish the second tr st as usual.
SPECIAL STITCH PATTERNS Foundation Double Crochet (fdc): Make 2ch, insert hook in second ch from hook, yrh, draw up loop, 1ch, yrh, draw through 2 loops on hook (fi rst fdc made), *insert hook in ch made at base of previous st, yrh, draw up loop, 1ch, yrh, draw through 2 loops on hook; repeat from * for remaining fdc to be made.
Right-Crossed Stitch (rcs): (Worked over 3ch or sts)
Miss 2sts, 1tr in third st, 1ch, working behind last tr made, miss next st to the right, 1tr in next st to the right (cross-over made).
Left-Crossed Stitch (lcs): (Worked over 3ch or sts)
Miss 2sts, 1tr in third st, 1ch, working in front of last tr made, miss next st to the right, 1tr in next st to the right (cross-over made).
Linked Treble Crochet (ltr): Insert hook in diagonal bar across last treble made, yrh, draw up loop, insert hook in next st, yrh, draw up loop (3 loops on hook), *yrh, draw through 2 loops, rep from * until one loop left.
