YARN REVIEW Charles says: "This yarn’s fi bre composition and twist provides it with a lofty hand and gives the resulting crochet fabric a nice drape. Be sure to use a hook with a slippery and sharp tip to avoid splitting the yarn between its two plys."

Designer biography
Charles Voth has been designing since the age of 15. Over the past 28 years, he has drawn inspiration from the textiles and cultural aesthetics of his place of birth, Colombia, as well as Canada, where he lives now.
This pattern is worked side to side in four pieces: front, back and two sleeves. Crossed stitches appear at regular intervals, but if crossed stitches land where shaping is required, replace crossed stitches with trebles.
In this pattern, the crossed treble stitches

Tread sweater CHARLES VOTH
"This design directs the eye away from the chest to the shoulders, with angular lines and small motifs. The yarn is a
muted, neutral cool colour and the crocheted fabric drapes off the masculine fi gure, rather than clinging to it. These qualities are what many men look for in a jumper and I was inspired to try to include all of these qualities in one garment."
