Physical Science – Credit Recovery

This course will emphasize scientific thinking as a way of under- standing the natural phenomenon that surrounds us. In addition, there will be both simulated and real world laboratory experiences to further expand your scientific horizons.
The course content has been appropriately grouped into smaller topics to increase retention and expand opportunities for assessment. With each topic, diagnostic quizzes are presented to the student, allowing students to pass through areas of content that they have previously studied successfully. Post-topic quizzes are pre- sented with each topic of content. Audio readings are included with every portion of content. Test pools and randomized test questions are utilized in pre- and post- topic quizzes as well as unit exams, ensuring that students taking the course will not be presented with the same exams.

Spanish I – Credit Recovery
This course provides students with instruction in the basics of learning the lan- guage of Spanish. This includes but is not limited to the vocabulary topics of greet- ings, time, dates, colors, clothing, numbers, weather, family, houses, sports, food and school. The course also introduces basic and stem-changing verbs and their formation and use I the present tense. Students also learn about interrogatives, question formation, and adjectives and their form and use, in addition to posses- sives, prepositions, and other grammatical structures. Finally, students will be- come acquainted with the Spanish-speaking countries of the world and their cul- tures.
