Fine Art

This course will give the student a comprehensive and practical view of the history and development of art. Relevant art and architecture beginning around 15,000 B.C. and proceeding through the present is discussed. In order to fully appreciate these works of art, it's helpful to have a fundamental knowledge of how art is made and of why we like it. For this reason, the first lesson focuses on explaining the various processes for making art and how students can be knowledgeable art critics. Each of the remaining five lessons, in chronological order, takes a look at the great art of that particular era. This course contains activities that require the student to access the Internet.
