So there I was standing at the edge of the cliff, staring twenty feet down to the beautiful turquoise river, preparing myself. Still not quite believing that I was even considering such a crazy thing, wondering why my fear of heights wasn’t kicking in to snap me out of what I was about to do. As I stood there I was amazed to see that the excitement far outweighed any nervousness coming up. Then, I jumped.

Who was this brave person I had become? Where did she come from? And could I really be this person when most of my life I was Miss Fear?
It was at that moment that I real- ized something incredible.
There is WAY more to you than you could ever realize. There is so much more to you than you could ever conceive of when fear is con- vincing you that you are small.
The truth is, you have no idea just how brave, courageous and truly capable you really are.

cold water, plunging down so deep then slowly rising up to the surface, feeling thrilled, freaked out and excited at every moment.
I could not believe what I had done. I completely surprised and amazed myself. I had no idea I had this in me.
Now I want you to imagine what your life would be like if you felt courage in place of that fear... What would you do? Who would you be? What buried dream of who you are meant to be would you finally take action on?
There is so much more to life, so much more for you to be, to experience and
to share. You DO have a unique light that is needed in this world. Absolutely. You are meant to step up and to shine. You are meant to play big. The world needs your light and brilliance and can’t get it if you’re hiding your light.
You ARE capable, even if you don’t feel like it now. It is on the journey that you become capable, that your deeper and braver self reveals itself more and more. You don’t become capable first and then start your journey, that’s not how it works.
You’ll never become the light that you really are meant to be if you continue to allow your fear to cause you to play small and shrink down.
And playing small really enough to truly fulfill you?
You don’t have to leap off of a cliff when you’re afraid of heights. This journey is guided with more love than you can imagine. It is an ad- venture that begins with one small step and is followed by many other steps that you can handle, that you are capable of taking.
Take a moment now to dig up that exciting idea that calls to your heart that you have kept buried out of fear. Commit right now to taking one small step to move it forward. Dig deep, call on that courage that is deep within you, that deeper self that is brave and fearless. Call on the faith beneath the fear and take that next step right away! It is time.
