Modern and Old Buildings in the swabian capital of Baden Wurttemberg. Lovely and Picturesque Architecture. Read all about it on page 48.
Our feng shui case study focuses on a marriage that is clearly on the rocks. Hanni Lim analyses the feng shui of the family home and suggests some easy-to-implement solutions that transform a sad home into a happiness house with all marital issues fizzling out spontaneously and naturally. Meanwhile, Phillip Lim our Paht Chee expert introduces readers to the Supreme Leadership Star, a rare finding in anyone’s birth chart, but one which, when properly harnessed, can bring some unbelievable good fortune. Chris Yeo simplifies the renovation process, addressing ways to save costs; his tips for the amateur interior decorator wanting to stay within budget make for useful advice that is both logical and practical.
Lillian’s recent short trip takes us to magical Sun Moon Lake of Taichung in Taiwan where she goes to chill out with her spiritual friend and guide, Khenpo Delek Rinpoche; the city is also home to some of the best health-water-jets in the world, but better still are its healthy hotpot soup meals. Lillian shares some happy anecdotes.
Across the world, Helen Oon introduces us to Gainsborough Bath Spa, YTL’s first premier hotel in the UK. Tis taps into the famous “Aquae Sulis” healing waters of the famed spa town. Helen also takes us to Swabia in Stuttgart, Germany, a little-known town - with some amazing architecture, famous for its high-end cars, and also the birthplace of Albert Einstein.
Te current Sport capturing the world as we go to print is World Cup Rugby, with four teams playing the semis in the last weekend and all from the Southern hemisphere. Tis is the first time when the four finalists come from the lower side of the world. Rugby reminds us of the fabulous Clint Eastwood movie Invictus, which brings us the
story of Nelson Mandela uniting a nation through sport. Invictus was Mandela’s favourite poem, by William Ernest Henley, that focuses on the power of the human spirit to rise victorious during hard times. We found it incredibly inspiring and hope our story on this year’s Rugby World Cup makes you feel that way too!
Our practical feng shui stories offer up invaluable tips for turning your living room into a magnet to attract good fortune energy; plus we have a piece on the luck of Numbers. Numerology has always fascinated the world – whether manifested as your car number, phone number, or translated into what names you go by – Lillian Too demystifies some long-held number myths and shares some eye-opening tips.
We also look at landscape feng shui in Hong Kong. Tis island city is arguably the feng shui capital of the world, and we see how some of the world’s wealthiest billionaires have their homes situated on some truly amazing choice spots here, feng-shui-wise that is. We take you to the verdant hills and beaches of the South side of the island to meet the Green Dragons and White Tigers, the Black Tortoises and Red Phoenixes of Deep Water Bay and Repulse Bay.
It’s been a trying month indeed putting up with the eye- stinging haze, but putting this issue together for you has cheered us up considerably! We look forward to seeing you all at Lillian Too’s Feng Shui Extravaganza 2016 on Jan 3rd 2016 in Singapore and on Jan 10th 2016 in Kuala Lumpur.
