Kate wore the Papyrus tiara, also known as the “Lotus Flower”. To the Chinese, the lotus symbolises priority and sincerity.

Queen herself, now in her 61st year of reign, so highly auspicious as spiritual symbols representing two of the Seven Royal Emblems. In her speech, the Queen hailed

the visit by President Xi and his wife as a milestone in this “unprecedented year of cooperation and friendship between the United Kingdom and China, as we celebrate the ties between our two countries and prepare to take them to ambitious new heights.” President Xi replies, “China and

Britain respectively represent the great Oriental and Western civilizations. Tough far apart geographically, our two countries have long engaged in close interactions. As an old Chinese adage goes, opportunity may knock just once; grab it before it slips away. As China-UK’s comprehensive strategic partnership enters the second decade this year, let us seize the opportunity to usher an even brighter future for China-UK relationships.” We find this coming together wildly exciting! It augurs well for

the world indeed that there is such a significant reaching out of hands in friendship, and it surely reflects the incredible wisdom of the Queen of Britain and the Commonwealth, and of the President of China. It was a very grand affair indeed, put on with so much pomp and pageantry as only the British can, and symbolically played out with much insight. When the feng shui is favourable, everything moves very smoothly and with great harmony. When mounting a Grand Gala like this, it is important to get the details just right. Tere must be plenty of diamonds and jewels, so tiaras are absolutely the order of the day. Colours also play a huge role in getting the ambience right. Indeed, in putting on a BIG show, no one can beat the British, but that night of the welcoming gala at Buckingham Palace, surely Britain’s greatest asset was the beautiful and enchanting Duchess, significantly stepping up to her role in public Royal Life with such great style and aplomb. We too salute her!
