Voyager visited Okinawa, where 200,000 soldiers and civilians were killed in one of the fiercest battles in the Pacific during World War Two; Hiroshima, where the atom bomb was dropped on August 6 1945, and Incheon, for a tour to the demilitarized zone, or DMZ, that divides North and South Korea (pictured). The tours were well attended – like most

of Regent’s shore excursions the cost is included in the cruise fare so it pays to make the most of what is on offer. In fact, plenty is included on a Regent

cruise – flights, transfers, food, drinks and gratuities – and unless you use the internet or spa4, there is no need to put your hand in your pocket for anything, not even for the steaks in Prime 7, French cuisine in Signatures or the butler who serves the top suites. Regent (rssc.com) will repeat this itinerary on a 16-night cruise from Hong Kong to Tianjin on February 5 2015 priced from £5,799pp all-inclusive.”
