THE RALLYING CALL
The long history of rallying at TMG extends back to the very origins of the business. It was perhaps only natural that following the withdrawal from F1, TMG started to investigate potential for new involvement with the sport.
In 2012, TMG announced the launch of the Yaris R1A rally car, an affordable, entry-level car for new competitors to the sport. The first outing was as “zero car” for the 2012 ADAC Rallye Deutschland.
Following the success of the TMG GT86 Cup and the GT86 CS-V3, in 2013 TMG announced its customer motorsport
programme would be extended to include a new GT86 CS-R3 rally car. The rear–drive car will available for delivery to private buyers in time for the 2015 season and will be eligible for all FIA-sanctioned events up to World Championship level.
