TMG SET TO ACCELERATE PROGRAMMES IN 2014
TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH (TMG) is set for a big year in 2014 as the company aims to strengthen its position as a world- leading test and development centre for the motorsport and automotive industries.
TMG’s involvement in international motorsport remains a key part of its DNA as it embarks on a third consecutive season in the WEC. The company has also established itself firmly as a specialist centre for design, development and production in the wider automotive industry: a true Home of High Performance.

TMG’s participation in WEC this season, including the Le Mans 24 Hours, will once again showcase the company’s capabilities. This fiercely competitive environment will display the full range of technology and know-how TMG has accrued from 35 years at the forefront of motorsport.
The company, running its WEC activities under the name TOYOTA Racing, will contest all eight rounds of the championship, including the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours, with two new TS040 HYBRID race cars incorporating cutting- edge hybrid powertrain technology.
The new TS040 HYBRID prototype chassis has been designed and manufactured entirely by TMG in accordance with new technical regulations that ensure WEC remains at the pinnacle of international endurance racing, but also relevant to road car technology.
