Regions and clubs Bear rash rally

What a great weekend! The Bear Rash Rally went down well and the sun shone the whole time. Thanks to all the groups in the

Warwickshire region; Coventry, Rugby and Studley. Thanks to Zed and Jamie, and CKC Disco's for the loan of the PA. The bands Dieanites and Chery were well worth seeing and I got a drumming lesson to boot. The Lazy Sundays were absolutely amazing. Special thanks to George Mc’Cann as he had a spill on his Harley earlier that day but still played in the evening with cuts and bruises; what a trooper! Both bands played and gave their time free for MAG.

Thirty five turned out for a great pet food run that was sorted that was sorted by The Shaman (Mike Starking) who is the Studley Group Rep. Thanks to Morph and Caz for sorting out the silly games. I thought Morph was a quite re- served guy but what a mover on

the dance floor and these sorted out all the equipment. Baz from Coventry won the 50/50 raffle and kindly donated to MAG. Same again next year for The Bear Rash Rally. Thanks from me Regional Rep for Warwick- shire.

John Belmonte

Tone Tea Rally

I ordered my tickets as soon as I saw it advertised in the Road. I was a bit concerned by directions read ‘stop at the last planet,’ “this is going to be hard to find,” I thought? I was wrong, the directions should have read ‘look out for the big dog and yes you really do ride into the chap’s drive. Do what the sign says – derrr?

The field was flat and dry which was a blessing considering the ride down. Kev on the burger van had real steaks on the go and the barman plied me with his vodka toffee drink called Thunder. Very nice it was and so

too were the beer and cider prices at £2.50 a pint. The band genarator played and played giving it 110% and then some. We retired early to our nice new sleeping bags, old gits that we are but I was tempted to return for more.

Members of Ogri MCC

provided great entertainment by hurling a birthday lass in the air on Saturday afternoon, brave soul.

Saturday morning the sun shone and me and our lass decided to go touring and took in the local church which had some

MAG needs more members.

In our uncertain climate we have te reduce our dependance on event income. Think of one person you think you can join up right now. Imagine their name in this space ...................................... Now email them/phone them/talk to them and ask them to go to: www.mag-uk.org and join on line now.

The ROAD 75 real history.

Back on site the collie dog chased everything in sight and the cat had a feast while Steve and Ali plied us all with jellys topped with Baileys.

Having covered 187 miles I didn’t think I would win the distance award as I’d seen a CM250 on site that I’d seen at Box Hill, Surrey the Sunday before. There were also three

Dutch lads who had covered over 700 miles. So nu surprises –I didn’t get the award.

The landowner was vey happy with the cheque that was presented to his hospice charity; we were all happy with Sarah’s cakes

Many thanks to all who helped make this rally a success. Will we be back? What do you think? Kev and Linda
