‘Yer Tiz

The ‘Yer Tiz Motorcycle Rally is set for a return this year with dates announced and preparations well underway. The inaugural year of the rally,

2011 was a great success and last year built on that. Fine weather attracted an even greater number of riders and campers who enjoyed a bike show, bands, beer, bonfire, ride out and more. The location, as before is the Rubgy Club ground in North Tawton, located between Crediton and Okehampton, just off the A30. The 2013 rally is set to be even better with the return of some of the great bands from 2012 and some extras; more trader stalls, improved facilities and an extensive menu as well as the usual attractions.

The website is updated with details of the attractions and a gallery from the two

previous rallies. A full list of bands will appear once they are all booked, so don’t forget to search ‘yer tiz rally’ on google for full, up to date details. You will also be able to buy tickets from the site using PayPal.

Funds raised will help finance MAG’s core mission which is to protect motorcycling from ill- informed unsympathetic

legislation that threatenes the freewheeling lifestyle. The rally will take place on Friday, September 20, 2013, opening at 4pm and closing on Sunday, September 22, at 2pm. Day tickets will be available for Saturday and entry to the bike show is free with some great prizes. Ticket prices are on the website. There is a facebook page, search ‘Yer Tiz bike rally.’

m’cycle parking Someone forgot that bikes ease congestion but MAG reminded them

With the re-development of King Street and St Peters Road within the core of the city, Peterborough City Council (PCC) was in the process of having two areas of free secure motorcycle parking removed until Peterborough MAG stepped in. A series of meetings with PCC ensured motorcycle parking remained in the core of the city. We have now ensured that free secure motorcycle parking remains in St Peters Road. King Street will not see bikes again after being replaced by a pedestrian/seating area though we now have a new secure area in Priestgate which is just a minutes’ walk away. We are pleased to have worked alongside PCC in the past year; ensuring powered two wheelers remain using the city thus keeping congestion down. News on free secure motorcycle parking in lower Bridge Street coming soon. MAG can, and does make a

difference. Dave & Tink, Peterborough Joint Rep’s

Wycombe MAG AGM will be held on Tuesday

September 10 2013 at The Stag, Flackwell Heath.
