Freephone: 0800 081 0777 Jetboil Flash

This is the most amazing piece of kit you can add to your camping gear. The Jetboil Flash is a compact, all in one cooking solution. It really is your stove, kettle and cup all in one tidy package, making it easy to pack and ensuring you have all you need so long as you remember the coffee.

Inside the one litre cup you fit the tripod stand, gas canister, heating ring with built in Piezo igniter and pan support. The Jetboil will boil two cups of water in around two minutes. My canister managed 20 boils (40 cups) before it ran dry. You can heat other items in the cup and eat things like tinned soup from it.

Alternatively click on the pan support and use your existing pans. All those problems you may have experienced in the past, stay in the past – my kettle has pierced beer cans, my stove gas has turned on and on occasion I’ve forgotten to pack a lighter or matches.

If you like gadgets you’ll love how this kit all fits together. The sleeve even has a colour change heat indicator so you can see when your water is boiled rather than by lifting the lid or looking for steam of which there is not a lot when you boil with the drink lid on.

MAG raffle bike finance deal

Cheshire-based Armitt Leisure Supplies, the UK importer of Portuguese brand AJP, is pleased to announce that it’s reached agreement with Moto Novo, to provide loans to those wishing to buy from its range of lightweight Trail, Enduro and Supermoto machines.

Moto Novo has set aside £25m to stimulate growth in the UK motorcycle market, which will assist AJP in gaining a bigger slice of the growing trail and enduro sector. With the overall motorcycle market continuing to fall by

20 The ROAD

10% year-on-year, the trail and enduro sector has bucked this trend; with a 21.8% increase in registrations over the last year and a 16.7% increase in April alone. With competitive finance rates from only 1.99% flat, now available on AJP’s hand-built European bikes for the first time, the small manufacturer from Lousada looks set for success as it celebrates its 26th year in business. Brand Manager Alan Pumfrey said “this exciting offering from MotoNovo moves our already

inexpensive bikes into the mainstream. We’ve negotiated a great flat rate deal, which makes them eminently affordable.” The illustration shows an AJP PR3, a smaller, 7/8th sized bike with 19” front and 17” rear wheels, giving a lower seat height which makes it perfect for ladies and shorter riders. Available in 125, 200 and 240cc (air cooled) guises from just £2650. AJP’s are handbuilt in Portugal. The range includes the PR3, a 7/8th sized bike as described above, the PR4 a full

size offering available as a simple air-cooled, single cylinder bike of 125/200/and 240cc and the liquid cooled PR5 250cc model, again a single cylinder four stroke.

All models are available in trail, enduro, eXtreme enduro + with very high quality suspension and ancillary components) and Supermoto variants, powered by four stroke engines.

There is a protective plastic cover for the fins on the cup when not in use that also features measurements. Jetboil have a host of similar products to the Flash. Some without igniters, some with large cups. They are widely available from high street and on-line camping outlets. I’d like to thank Eddie from

Western Region for bringing this product to my attention. It’s not the cheapest bit of kit, retailing at around £80 for the Flash version but it certainly does the job.

All my old kit will be off to the next boot sale. Selina Lavender
