Sustainable income

OK we’ve mentioned it elsewhere in this magazine and are duty bound to go on mentioning it.

Last year we had a financial shortfall of £30,000 after devastating weather hit our events. We’ve had hot weather in July but June wasn’t great and the Farmyard Party, our biggest fundraiser got badly hit yet again.

MAG can cut its cloth to suit, there is no way we are going out of business but we don’t want to cut back on the work we do on behalf of all riders. We are looking to maximise our income from other revenue streams so that we are less vulnerable to the weather and the effect that has on our events. Obviously we need a lot more members and we are using IT to telegraph MAG’s message to tens of thousands of riders via our affiliated club membership and

beyond. But there are things that you can do as members to help this organisation increase its income in ways that are sustainable and reliable. We have a number of business affinity deals that trickle money into our accounts, so we are proactively encouraging their take up. Take the credit card below. Most people have credit cards these days even if they never get into debt. They are just so convenient. So if you’re going to have a credit card why not have a MAG one? MAG gets a kick back from every member who activates their card by using it for the first time. Thereafter we get a tiny percentage from every transaction. It all adds up.

Make the right choice

We’re delighted to offer you the MAG Credit Card. This card has been specifically designed so you not only benefit from an attractive rate, but you can also enjoy all the features you would expect from a great value credit card.
