Summers Manufacturing was founded by Harley Summers in 1965 as a manufacturer of truck and pickup hoists. Production of Herman harrows forced expansion with a larger factory in Maddock, N.D. With the introduction of a sprayer line, a factory was built in Devils Lake, N.D. In 2007, the Summers family sold the company to an ESOP and Summers Manufacturing became an employee-owned company.
With over 45 years of expertise in the farm equipment industry, our equipment has earned its motto: “Field-Tested Tough.” We specialize in aggressive primary till- age built strong enough to handle the rocky soil types found in areas of the upper Midwest states. Our equipment is well suited for deep tillage and applications where uniform and accurate tillage depths are required. Our primary tillage lineup includes discs, chisel plows and combination disc/chisels and coulter chisels.
Residue management equipment we offer includes coulters, spring tine harrows and hydraulic-fold rolling choppers.
Also available for residue management are our mounted attachments — mounted harrows, rolling choppers and rolling baskets. Other products include coil packers, land rollers, fi eld sprayers and rock pickers.
