SUMMER 2013 • FARM EQUIPMENT’S SUPPLIER PROSPECTU S 37 ABOUT KRONE NORTH AMERICA

Founded in 1906, Bernhard Krone opened a blacksmith shop in Spelle, Germany. Through the generations, the blacksmith shop evolved into a leading manufacturer of hay and forage equipment. To this day, Krone is still a family run business and all of the equipment continues to be manufactured in Spelle, Germany. Krone began exporting equipment to North America in 1973, and over the years North America has grown to be the largest export market for Krone. Krone North America has offi ces located in Memphis, Tenn., and Reno, Nev., with warehouses located in Memphis, Reno, Ontario and Quebec.

Krone’s dedication to manufacturing only hay and forage equipment has lead to inno- vative technology and heavy-duty machines that are built to last. From the fi rst drum mower that was produced in the early 1970s, to what has progressed into the reliable disc mowers that are produced today, Krone is always looking toward future technology. This is evident by the BiG Pack 1290 HDP, which is able to put 25% more weight into a 3 x 4 large square bale when compared to a conventional 3 x 4 square bale, or the BiG M 420 self-propelled mower conditioner that is able to cut up to 40 acres per hour.

Whether you are putting up hay or silage for just your operation or you are a custom harvester, Krone has the machine that will get the job done for you quickly and effi ciently. Krone offers a full line of hay and forage equipment, which includes disc mowers, disc mower conditioners, tedders, rotary rakes, round balers, BiG Pack large square balers, BiG M self- propelled mower conditioners and BiG X self-propelled forage harvesters.
