ABOUT HORSCH
Based in northeastern South Dakota, Horsch began in 2000 with the partnership of Horsch Maschinen GmbH of Schwandorf, Germany, and Anderson Machine Inc. of Ando- ver, S.D. Horsch Maschinen GmbH continues to be a strong leader in tillage and seeding technology in Europe and has been for over 25 years. Anderson Machine Inc. has been a leader in air seeder opener technology for the same length of time, pioneering the PPF (Precision Placement of Fertilizer) and paired row concepts. In 2007, Harper Industries of Harper, Kan., entered as the third partner for the creation of Horsch LLC. Horsch’s dealer and distributor network extends throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Horsch-branded products are used across North America in a wide variety of cropping dynamics. Planting and tillage solutions by Horsch are commonly used in small grain and row-crop production, strip-till, fertilizer application, residue management, seedbed preparation, direct seeding, single pass planting, precision fertilizer placement, as well as other niche applications.
Horsch’s primary product since 2009 has been the proven HA Planting System. In 2009, Horsch began building the new Cougar Planting System and introduced the Joker to the North Ameri- can market. The commitment of Horsch is to continue product expansion and development, and to provide unique and high-performance cropping solutions to producers. In September, the company will be opening a new 115,000-square-foot plant in Mapleton, N.D.
