LAFORGE SYSTEMS INC., Concord, Calif., was established in 1991 as a subsidiary of the privately held LAFORGE SAS in France. It was the fi rst step in a carefully planned expansion of LAFORGE to be able to service and support their products that had been available in North America since 1987.
LAFORGE has been a world leader for over 30 years in technology related to tractor- implement-interaction, tractor ballasting and weight transfer, and has been awarded a multitude of patents and awards in these areas. Best known are the front 3-point hitch systems that can be found in over 30 countries around the world.
In 2007, a manufacturing facility in Iowa was purchased and a new facility was add- ed in 2010. Together they now operate as LAFORGE LLC in Cedar Falls and Waterloo.
A completely new product specifi cally for the North American customers has been developed for 2013 at the Cedar Falls plant, the VersaDeck™. It’s a multi-purpose platform that can be deployed in almost any situation where you need a sturdy tool for carrying things around, from a portable shop with welder and tool box, to trans- porting an ATV, to retrieving game while hunting, to building sites, etc.
