Past Grand Esteemed Leading Knight William F. Grimes, of the Charleston, IL, Lodge, died January 31. As a member of the Mattoon Lodge, Member Grimes served as Grand Esteemed Leading Knight in 1990– 1991. He served on the Grand Lodge State Associa- tions Committee in 1986–1987. He was district deputy for the Southeast District of Illinois in 1975–1976 and served as president of the Illinois Elks Association in 1984–1985.


Past Grand Treasurer Lee B. Bowden, of the Greater Spokane, WA, Lodge, died February 2. As a member of the Spokane Lodge, Member Bowden served as Grand Treasurer from 1994 to 1996. He served on the Grand Lodge Committee on Credentials from 1988 to 1990 and on the Grand Lodge Lodge Activities Com- mittee in 1982–1983. He served as district deputy for the Northeast District of Washington in 1977–1978 and was president of the Wash- ington State Elks Association in 1987–1988.


Past Grand Tiler R. E. Johnson, of the Jonesboro, AR, Lodge, died October 4, 2011. Member Johnson served as Grand Tiler in 2000–2001. He served on the Grand Lodge Government Relations Committee from 1984 to 1987 and on the Grand Lodge Lodge Activities Committee in 1983–1984. He was district deputy for the East District of Arkansas in 1960–1961, was special deputy in 1988–1989 and 1990–1991, and was president of the Arkansas State Elks Association in 1964–1965.


Grand Lodge Committeeman Charles W. Voigts, of the Joliet, IL, Lodge, died February 10. Member Voigts served on the Grand Lodge Auditing and Accounting Committee from 2005 to 2013 and had been chairman of the committee since 2011. He served as president of the Illinois Elks Association in 2003–2004.


Past Grand Lodge Committeeman Leo C. Hatcher, of the Goodland, KS, Lodge, died November 15, 2012. Member Hatcher served on the Grand Lodge Ritualis- tic Committee from 1996 to 1999. He served as district deputy for the Northwest District of Kansas in 1981– 1982 and was president of the Kansas Elks Associa-


tion in 1988–1989.
