Osage Community, MO, Lodge used a $2,000 ENF Gratitude Grant and an additional $1,000 in lodge funds to donate furniture for one room to the Citizens Against Domestic Violence Victim Outreach Center, a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Affton, MO, Lodge provided Christmas food baskets to 90 needy families. Each basket contained food for a traditional Christmas dinner and toys and clothing for the children of the families. Nearly 170 children and more than 150 adults benefited from the baskets.
Nevada State Elks Association held an institution ceremony for the Laughlin, NV, Lodge at the lodge’s temporary headquarters. The new lodge was sponsored by the Boulder City, NV, Lodge, and the initiation ceremony for the lodge’s 65 members was performed by members of the Reno, NV, Lodge.
Rochester, NH, Lodge made a donation of $580 to the Homeless Center for Strafford County.
Bordentown, NJ, Lodge members presented a Local Heroes plaque to a Bordentown Township Police Department representative to recognize the department’s ongoing contributions to the safety of the community.
Bordentown, NJ, Lodge and Hightstown, NJ, Lodge members donated a total of more than $10,000 worth of food to food banks operated by two local churches.
